"Great option for an affordable price"

"We have just enjoyed an amazing 2 weeks in Gilles gorgeous home. Where to start……The location is amazingly central and ideal for all of the, boulangeries, bars and restaurants that are pretty much on the doorstep yet far enough away that you can’t hear any of it. The drive way is tight and thankfully we had hired a car (Kia sportage) slightly smaller than ours (Skoda Enyaq), which meant we were able to get in, in a 3 point turn. There is parking at the end of the road, but it’s very hit and miss as to whether there’s a space available.The house is just amazing. The rooms are all a great size, beds made up of 2 singles pushed together, so there is lots of flexibility. Each room has an en-suite and there are a couple more showers and toilets available in the house too.The kitchen is a lovely size and very well appointed with an oven, microwave, induction hob & an American style fridge freezer with a water & ice dispenser. It’s well equipped too with several utensils and pieces of crockery.A huge smart tv is in the lounge. We took our fire stick too and the WiFi was absolutely fine to support this - the house is so big, there are 3 separate WiFi connections.The swimming pool and the games room were very well used by us all and we had many games of pool & challenges to beat the top score on the pinball machine, but my husband was gutted that he couldn’t manage it, despite trying.I’ve run out of room but have put have done a video on u tube. It is amazing and i recommend it"

"We stayed for just one night and were blown away by how stunning the chateau and its views. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and attentive without being fussy. We stayed in the Napoleon suite which had incredible views of the Loire from the balcony. The room itself was huge with beautiful period furniture and features. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was very clean with double sinks and shower and all necessities supplied were good quality. We enjoyed great food and wine in the restaurant with a 3 course meal plus some additional delicacies. We definitely felt like we’d had a chateau experience and would recommend as a beautiful place to stay "

"Markus, formerly known as 21 Foch, just opened. It is a lovely 14-bedroom, boutique hotel. A coffee shop and beautiful outdoor space is slated for completion by September 2025, but guests may partake of breakfast onsite before then. The hotel is close to the train station, and centrally located to attractions, shops, and restaurants. Despite proximity to the city landscape, the facility is quiet and peaceful. My room and the common areas were meticulously clean. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the towels are thick, and amenities such as coffee, tea, and water are readily available. I would return here again and again!"

"Super close to the Train Station. Clean rooms. Quiet. Good bed and pillow. Hot shower in the morning. The night clerk spoke English. I overpaid him for the city tax and he came up to my room and returned the extra money!"

"Nice stay in the French contryside, minutes away from the City Centre of Angers. The pool was clean and warm. The service was good. They left us a nice note for our wedding anniversary. Bear in mind there is no AC at the location."

"This was truly a gem within walking distance to the town centre. We adored the gardens, lobby and resting areas, and the spacious room and the pool. The interior furnishings were luxurious. The owners have great pride in the place and attention to detail shows at every corner. The only letdown was the small number of staff, that impacts the service a bit. Still it is excellent value nd recommend to stay more than a couple days to truly enjoy the place. "

"Very friendly staff and room very clean. Lovely setting with each room having its own terrace. Dog friendly and there is a great public open space on the other side of the road where dogs can be exercised. Unfortunately we could not use the restaurant because a wedding party was using it. However good restaurants nearby and good room service meant this did not detract too much."

"We had a pleasant day at the hotel which offers basic accommodations. The location is excellent close to the downtown core and is also quiet. We would stay there again."

"Everything was wonderful. I stayed there 5 days and tried everything, le petit déjeuner delicious, le dîner incredible ! Only thing I didn’t know is that I had to pay extra to enjoy the jacuzzi (why isn’t it included ?). I needed it to warm up bc coming from Miami, the drop in temperature was brutal :). But it’s ok I still loved it ! Thank you !"

"Nice hotel/conference centre, it was quite quiet on our visit and we barely saw anyone else which was strange. My biggest complaint was that the WiFi (and hence smart tv) did not work in the room, and we were told that was just how it was. Staff were otherwise great and a nice restaurant with delicious French cuisine. Bed and linens fairly standard. "
