"Hotel El Faro is a beautiful hotel by the beach with a big swimming pool and a pool bar. The staff at the restaurant and bar were excellent and helpful. Also the cleaning staff was very nice and cooperative with cleaning hours.

We stay here every time we travel to Guatemala. The restaurant is amazing, the breakfast is delicious! Staff is super friendly and I love the location m. Walking distance to shopping mall and restaurants if you want to venture out. I also love they take you to the hotel.

The hotel is excellent, safe , swimming in the beach is not safe but swimming pools are in the property you can walk through the beach ,food is excellent and service beyond my expectations very professional and honestly, I forgot my phone charged and the office called me to go back and get it I was very happy. I will recommend to all my friends .

Tuvimos una experiencia muy buena. Las instalaciones son bonitas y amplias, el parqueo es amplio y hay un espacio techado. En su mayoría todo estaba limpio, hay aspectos de limpieza por mejorar como las duchas y el parqueo techado, pero en general es un espacio que tiene todo lo que uno busca para descansar y relajarse.
No almorzamos en el lugar, pero los desayunos no solo son incluidos, sino que también son buenos. Los precios de bebidas y almuerzos nos son baratos, pero tampoco tan inflados,...

Unbelievably incredible hotel! This place is a PALACE! The pictures shown online do not do it justice. I created an entire photo album just of photos I took in the hotel! The grounds are exquisite, the halls are filled with incredible artwork and statues. The pool is wonderful. The suite we were provided with was fit for a king! The property was absolutely beautiful. Availability was great, the only thing that I will remark on is that there is not a pool in the hotel or any other surrounding hotels. I went searching for an outdoor pool and could not find one in the area of Cayala. That is the only thing I would recommend. Any pool that could be shared by that hotel and others would be great. Not the AC hotel's fault, will always choose this hotel line.

The city outside the hotel isn't great but the front desk can arrange transfers for you to go to different places. They also have great activities in Guatemala that they plan. We stayed at Casa Serena as a family while looking for a house to rent. Our family has traveled all over the world and having a 3 year old son. There is not another hotel that is even close in terms of being a safe/fun place for kids. Apart from that we have a 94 pound golden retriever. I tried close to 100 hotels none of them would accept a dog over 20 lbs..even resorted to trying pet hotels which would have separated her from her for a week or so breaking all of our hearts.
