“This is the hotel I stay at whenever I go to Detroit Lakes. Close proximity to the beach, park, restaurants. The continental breakfast is good.”

“Could not have chosen a better place to stay! Such a well kept property, inside and out. The location is ideal: on the bike path and easy distance to the Trolls... which is why so many people come to DL, right? ;-) The staff was terrific; friendly and so helpful. (Shout out to the lovely breakfast lady who did her job so well and with a smile). The entire place smelled fresh and clean, and was well lit. Our room was immaculate and the bed very comfy. Quiet for sleeping, even with the highway……

“The property was everything you hope it would be - the staff were fantastic and helpful, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the reservation was exactly as requested, the amenities were plentiful, clean and well kept and complimentary breakfast buffet was better than most other places we stay - especially the coffee selection. I would recommend and not hesitate to stay again! The beach is an added bonus - very quiet and peaceful. Quick birthday trip for hubby and I to experience the……

“This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. ”
