“Stayed 2 nights enjoyed evening meals and breakfasts - chosen as a base for visiting Wakefield Barbara Hepworth gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park easily accessed and comfortable base. ”

“Clean but dated room. Had trouble with noisy neighbours and the night porter tried to sort it but wasnt to be....however the manageress Gillian was great sorting a free replacement stay. ”

However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either. The bed was not made properly. I understood that there will be less facility due to three star status but did expect better room attendance. I ate in the restaurant and was disappointed. “Well located in the centre of Holmfirth. Bedrooms have been nicely refurbished and spotless. Staff are really helpful, friendly and efficient. I would stay again.”

“Peaceful, clean surroundings. Helpful, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, choosing from both continental and cooked (vegetarian for me). Loved my double room on the top floor. All very enjoyable. Thankyou.”
