My best friend and I had a great stay! The staff were amazing and kind! The room was clean and loved the theme of the hotel!

The first room I was in was next to some sort of mechanical room or some very loud machine sound and the floor was vibrating. The staff helped me move to a quieter room, but quiet is relative. It’s old buildings

Nice room...thin walls though so a bit noisy. Need to be comfortable with no on site staff. No issues with check in or check out online, but the lock on our balcony door was broken...which given the balconies are connected would have been an issue had my husband not been with me. So I did not try to contact anyone to fix it. TV remote also not working...again no front desk to remedy the situation quickly so we just did without TV. But overall not a bad experience.

Location was great, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in code before arriving as there’s spotty Wi-Fi so we couldn’t even call the host. We drove down the road until we got LTE bars on cell phone and then we could check in. Bed was comfy, shower good. Lots of privacy; didn’t hear the neighbors in the cabin next to Dripping Rock. Didn’t use the big tub. Loved the quiet location & all the fireflies. Saw lots of deer & bunnies. Arrived during the Canadian wildfire smoke so that obscured a lot of views. Be sure to visit nearby Sherando (?) Lake nearby: nice beach, outdoor shower, swim to an island, hike trails around it (no lifeguard so be attentive), campsites, picnic tables. Glad we picked it and way quieter than the massive Wintergreen resort.

The arboretum behind the hotel was gorgeous, and there is a lit walking path at night to listen to all the toads in the pond. My room was spacious with really high ceilings, good blackout curtains, and a fully enclosed shower (so many hotels these days have exposed showers that get water on the floor). Staff was helpful when I needed a a complimentary item. It’s about a 10-minute Uber to the Charlottesville main street shopping/dining area. If you are visiting the UVA Law or Business schools, or if you have a loved one in Copeley Hill Apartments, you could not be any closer than this.
