“The Blue Heron room is a suite! There is a comfortable bedroom,and a nice large sitting room. The room also opens to the 2nd floor porch with 2 large rocking chairs. This is an older property, and anyone with mobility issues should look elsewhere because there is no elevator. You will need to climb stairs. The staff was amazing. Chris and Ryan were wonderful and welcoming. I only stayed 2 nights but they were both extremely personable and very helpful.”

“It’s an old house and very well maintained it may be warmer than a new hotel but the overall experience makes up for it. Room was clean,the inn keeper was very helpful. And the house was quiet had convenient parking. Had a great time and definitely plan on going back.”

“The room was clean and very convenient to downtown Apalachicola. The only major issues were that the AC did not work the entire time of our stay and we were locked out of the main entrance. We reported the AC problem and never received a call back or response. The digital lock had to be reset and finally we were able to access our room to check out.”

“Very nice hotel as far as the common areas and the restaurant for dinner (not breakfast with $19 for a salmon bagel, more expensive than Miami) but the rooms and staff are terrible. Had 3 sleepless nights because of guests and what they called children running around worse than animals above us. Called multiple times to change rooms or have them quiet them down. Nothing was done and not even a compensation was offered. Seriously? Plus there was a huge humidifier machine, room was way above the……

“Although the property is old, it is well-maintained. The room had a slight musty odor when we opened the door , but after running the A/C for an hour or so, the odor was pretty much gone. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful..very accommodating and helpful.”

“I enjoyed my stay at the Franklin Inn. Coming back into Carrabelle during the July 4th holiday to visit family friends/ god-kids and to move out of my previous studio was a lot but thankfully The Franklin Inn made the beginning of my leg of the trip easy and comfortable. Thank you!”

“Not only was this the cleanest property I think I have ever stayed in, the staff were warm and welcoming very knowledgeable and helpful. The room was cozy and it truly felt like I was staying at a family member‘s house. Not sure I’ll ever book anywhere else in the area again as long as they have availability! Also very convenient in walking distance to everything!!!”
