The property was well kept, and the staff was very friendly. I do wish the resort had a shuttle service for its guests to get them to and from the airport and to attractions on the island.

Wow Wow Wow!!! I saw Grand Horizon advertised last year and it had been on my radar for a short break without the kids. I booked this trip at Christmas and we have been looking forward to it since then. I genuinely cannot find fault with Grand Horizon, and cannot understand a lot of the negative comments in the reviews. This is our 4th holiday to Gran Canaria (6th in the Canaries) and hands down, this hotel is the nicest by far. There were plenty of staff around the complex, whether that be cleaning, or by the pool/at the bar. 24/7 reception/customer care team have been perfect from my initial enquiries in December, through to checking up if everything is OK during the stay. Notably, Yasmine and Sabrina are 5* personal concierge and answered any questions in a timely manner. One of the key selling points is amazing sea views being at the top of the mountain. We booked an Elite suite with private pool and we genuinely speechless when we arrived. The entire complex is spotlessly clean and built to a very high standard with super high quality finish. I’m usually ready to go home at the end of a holiday/break, but this time I’m genuinely sad to be leaving today. Beautiful hotel. Fantastic staff. Amazing views. Everything was above and beyond!

Not really what I was expecting, but not terrible or as bad as people make it to be. It does have pros and cons. I would categorize this place more as a hotel than a resort. Bar service was limited and there was no flow to the buffet nor was it labeled as to the areas where the kids food was at. Choices for kids were limited, same with the snack bar. Food was not terrible they do have to cater the seasoning of the food to the masses. The room we had was really nice and more spacious than I expected. I did get the romantic package to surprise my family and they did a great job with it! House keeping was not what was expected they did not come clean the room (despite hanging the sign on the door requesting it and speaking to the front desk) until our 3rd day (take out the trash mainly), toiletries and coffee pods were never replenished. It was Slightly confusing as to where the entertainment amd activities were which were also limited but I am going to assume its because they are still trying to find their rhythm after reopening. Live music was pretty good just need a surround sound ;). Parking was convenient, the area was nice with the shops and water activities. Experience overall was ok again i categorze it as a hotel not a resort in the traditional sense, it is not as bad as other people make ot out to be and there is is room for improvement but i will attribute it to theor reopening and are trying to find their groove and on being better staffed.

Brilliant stay! Staff were wonderful from the first moment. Half board food amazing! We had the private swim up pool, which was a lovely novelty. Only one thing was that the room safe shouldn't be an extra at this level of hotel but really, thats the only niggle.
