The area had a major thunderstorn that knocked out power the night we stayed, through no fault of the hosts! The split unit in our room, (room 3), made a loud rattling noise whenever the thermostat kicked on…which was about every 45 minutes or so. That made it difficult to sleep as we were woken up every hour. Breakfast is offered at the Speckled Hen, which is about 1/4 mile away. The food and staff are exceptional. Having an ice cream parlor connected to inn was convenient and dangerous……
