"It is a lovely location, but could doing with a few property maintenance upgrades.
Did have a lovely meal and the wine was nice.
Would have been nice to have been told there were 2 large weddings, before we arrived. We wanted to relax on the morning of our departure as checkout is at 12, but was impossible with wedding guests everywhere.
Had a lovely tour of the vineyard which we would recommend"

"Old style Mediterranean, has seen better days but ideal for the purpose... In its former glory, likely very posh, but time and economics change all things. still a cool place, very busy every night - hotel feels pre war era -"

"Everything was perfectly fine during my stay. The staff were extremely helpful and always ready to assist with any requests, which made me feel very welcome. One great perk is the free coffee and tea available 24 hours a day, which was a lovely touch and very convenient. The hotel is also very well positioned, making it easy to explore the area and access nearby attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay."

My stay was superb.
In my travel from Madrid to La Costa Del Sol I found this Gem. A family operated hotel in an amazing beautiful area with astonishing views a beautiful sunsets over looking the Sierra Nevada and villages surrounding it.
A place full of peace and serenity with excellent home cooked food, especially made for each individual guest. You get to choose from a daily menu that is provided. Than your choice will be cooked especially for you on that day. I stayed for three nights and...

I can't overstate who wonderful the staff was from the beginning of our stay to the end. They had great advise on Granada's attractions and cuisine. Our room was very nice with a great balcony. My thanks again to the staff who made my trip to Granada such an enjoyable experience.

We had an amazing stay. Liz at front desk was super nice, helpful and patient. She answered all our questions and made our stay super pleasant. If we ever go back, we would definitely stay there again.

Siam at the front desk made our trip wonderful. She guided us with maps, tour set-ups, and most of all: kindness. The hotel was quaint and comfortable and we had an amazing balcony room with a view of Alhambra. Definitely the highlight of our trip.
Note: Like many European hotels, there is no elevator.

Convenience to Alhambra, old neighborhoods of Granada, dining and shopping options was outstanding. Hotel has lots of character and is nicely updated to include all amenities one would expect in a modern hotel. Overall a fantastic stay, better than anticipated! Only downsides are that parking is limited and quite tricky (though hotel staff is very helpful in this regard) and the breakfast buffet is very limited especially for the cost (15 Euros, I believe). Skip the breakfast and eat at one of...

The staff was incredible. There were two men in the front desk who always helped me out. One was tall with black hair combed backwards. He may have been wearing glasses. The other was Alejandro. There were exceptional! The staff in the restaurant was equally gracious. The room was a 5 star set up. It was spacious, clean, and quiet. The shower was a little bit difficult to manage on the first day. It had more knobs then I knew what to do with it, but I finally figured it out. The...

The best area to stay in Escúzar for most visitors is within the town center itself, particularly around the central plaza and the main thoroughfares like Calle Real.
This central part of Escúzar is the heart of the community. It's where you'll find local shops, traditional eateries, and the municipal buildings. The area is easily navigable on foot, offering a genuine glimpse into daily life in a small Andalusian town.
For couples seeking a relaxed and authentic Spanish experience, staying in the town center provides easy access to local culture. You can enjoy strolls through the streets, dine at family-run restaurants, and experience the local pace of life without needing to travel far.
Travelers looking for convenience and a central base for exploring the region will also find the town center appealing.
When is the best time to go to Escúzar?
The best time to visit Escúzar is during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to October) when the weather is mild and pleasant, ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the region.
During these shoulder seasons, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 60 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (15-24°C), making it great for hiking in the nearby Sierra Nevada foothills or visiting the historic sites in Granada, which is a short drive away. These months also generally see fewer crowds compared to the peak summer, allowing for a more relaxed experience.
Summer (July and August) brings hotter temperatures, often exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32°C), which can be quite warm for extended outdoor exploration. However, if you plan to spend time by a pool or enjoy the cooler evenings, summer can still be a good option. Many local festivals also take place during these months, offering a glimpse into local culture.
Winter (November to March) is cooler, with temperatures typically between 40 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit (4-13°C), and can be a good time for those interested in skiing or snowboarding in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which are easily accessible from Escúzar.
