“I had a really wonderful time staying here. The breakfast was very tasty, the garden was beautiful and I felt really looked after. I would definitely come back again! Only small issue was the parking. Luckily it is not busy so there is parking at the back but I can feel this might come to issue since it's a small car park and you dont want to park on the side of the road but tbh this is very minor and it's a bit nitpicking as I have really enjoyed my stay.”

Hosts were so helpful, I struggled with the heat so they ensured our room was kept cool and gave me a beach brolly to use. The location was good, not too near centre but an easy 20 minute walk to the seafront and shops. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were fab, will definitely be returning.”

“Lovely old building, beautifully clean and comfortable. Steve and Fiona were very welcoming and kind. Also, they cooked a mean breakfast from a varied menu. It was delicious. The only downside was the lack of parking outside The Bakehouse. It proved to be very difficult but the upside was that approx 60 yards away was a Car Park for only £3.30 for 24 hours! Highly recommend The Bakehouse if you are planning a visit to East Devon.”

“I had such a lovely stay here. It may be a modest B&B, but it was absolutely excellent, and as a solo female traveller I felt completely safe, comfortable and genuinely looked after.
