Visit the Santa Cruz mountains and get away to the small town of Felton, California! This unique, two bedroom vacation home has everything you'll need to relax and take in the gorgeous, postcard-perfect, treetop views!

Located between San Jose and Santa Cruz, it's just 12 miles to the beaches and famous boardwalk, with attractions like Loch Lomond Reservoir and Quail Hollow Ranch right near this Tree Top View Cabin. Leave all the hubbub behind and unwind at this charming retreat in the woods.

Three flights of stairs assure a gorgeous view, but they also might be difficult for those with any mobility issues. But once you reach the welcoming front porch, you'll have a perfect outdoor spot for reading a book or sipping morning coffee.

This Felton cabin boasts tall ceilings, a woodstove, comfortable furniture, and even WiFi so you can stay in touch. Entertainment amenities include cable TV and a DVD player so you'll be able to gather everyone around for an after-dinner movie.

You'll have a full kitchen for delicious vacation. At night there are two bedrooms with a queen and a full bed, and one full bathroom. Up to four guests will be able to stay comfortably here. And if you want to bring your dogs, please be advised that dogs need to stay off of the couch and bedding. Because of the size of this unit, bigger dogs may be more comfortable on the deck.

Ideal for a family getaway, from both the busy Bay Area and beach town congestion, Felton offers easy access to Santa Cruz attractions, but away from the tourists. Right in town, there are state parks, hiking trails, a Farmers Market, and nearby wineries to explore!

This Central California vacation home in the trees will delight your whole group and provide a memorable home base near activities in Santa Cruz and beyond!

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Cozy Cabin
Amazing front porch with beautiful views. Feels far from everything, but actually quite east accsss to amenities. The house was lovely, and the rooms were cozy. The mattress protector made it sound like you were sleeping on a tarp but the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, bathroom had nice plastic free hair care options and soap. Would have loved some good coffee and or tea on site, its not pratical to buy a box/bag for a couple of nights. Thank you for the perfect getaway.

Needs TLC
Shower doors needs replaced or removed and a shower curtain would be great. One of the doors was about to fall off the other door you could barely move it. The beds are very worn out. We all woke up in pain every day. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Weekend away from roommates
My girlfriend and I decided that as we prepare to take some big exams, we ought to give ourselves a little getaway to some cozy, woodsy place and this property definitely fit the bill. Be forewarned that although the area is densely wooded, it is not a property that is remote from other structures/residences. Also the driveway and road up to the property is VERY steep, and some vehicles might not be cut out for it. Otherwise, the place was great for our needs.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway
We absolutely loved staying here and would stay again. A hidden peaceful gem in the San Lorenzo Valley. The house was clean and quiet and just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of every day. We were able to bring our dog and enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and in downtown Felton. The house is in the mountains and with recent storms definitely recommend driving with caution and bringing an AWD vehicle. So worth it though. Stunning views from the balcony, friendly neighbors and close enough to a lake you can walk there.

True tree top stay, missing a few small items
We had a great stay - beautiful cabin amidst the redwoods and easy access to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The cabin could use a few additional details (a smart TV, an additional fan for the second bedroom, a toaster oven), but overall, it was a great value and a lovely stay.

PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS WE DIDN'T BIG MISTAKE TOO . VERY CURVY AND NARROW ROAD TO GET UP THERE .
Fortunately we have mountain driving experience. The cabin is 3 miles off main road . Very lovely appearance too. We failed to read it had stairs . My wife is ADA . Our fault . However we made it up the stairs. The cabin was clean for the most part but had a strong musky aroma . And cups and glasses were stained from cupboard. Cabinet door in kitchen feel off when opened. Stains on sofa and chairs are quiet used and out of shape. They squeek terribly. Only 3 chairs for the dinning room table and the place supposed be provide for 4 guest. The tv . Well wasn't worth watching in late evening as a group because of the way it positioned against fireplace and wall to the left . Fyi the ice maker sounds like a woodpecker night.. My biggest pet peeves is there's no curtains on the front room windows. It creep my wife out . She realized we were up high. But she was up during the night quiet often while everyone else was asleep.. I don't recommended this place for kids either as they're no place to go

Travel back in time
The house located in very beautiful place. The view from the patio is like in fairytale, absolutely gorgeous. The living space is small, but enough for 2 people. The house located on the hill, so there is no back or front yard to talk about to walk the dog or play. But next to the house in walking distance there is a great park with lots of trails and a lake. Great for hike, fishing or boat riding. Check the park rules. Park is closed for the public from the middle of October to March. There is no cell phone reception available around the house. At least half of the days we spent there we spend without electricity. So, either bring your own generator or solar batteries or be prepared to live like in 19th century.

Lovely Cabin in the Woods
We so enjoyed our stay. The cabin is clean and the kitchen well stocked. It was so wonderful to sit on the deck and look up at the stars, and the view of the redwoods out the bedroom and kitchen windows as the sun rises is spectacular. Wish there was a little more information or maps for the nearby parks and hiking trails, but we made our way. It was a great spot for our first exploration of the Santa Cruz mountains.

Beautiful Cabin in the Trees
This cabin is situated amongst wonderful trees. The outdoor deck is spacious and absolutely beautiful. While we didn't mind the look of the furniture, it is kind of old, especially the beds and sofa. The kitchen has all the basic necessities, but no extras like aluminum foil, zip lock bags, coffee, cooking oil, — the little things you may forget to bring. The bathroom is nice and spacious. The biggest disappointment were the frequent power outages (on 3 days of the 4 days we stayed there). The neighbors have generators, this cabin does not. It seems to be proof to the fact that power outages must happen often here. There are no candles or flashlights in the cabin, but there is a landline so you can call the not so helpful manager. Your cell phone only works over WiFi up there, but, of course, that only works when the power is on. Overall we still had a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the gorgeous deck perched high above ground amongst the trees. The cabin offers a nice peaceful place to spend time with family and friends.

Beautiful location, in desperate need of some maintenance
The location is hard to beat, surrounded by beautiful redwoods. Unfortunately, there are a lot of minor issues that just kept adding up. Cleanliness - the shower and bathroom in particular, including a mass of cobwebs handing down above the toilette. A rocking chair that had a foul odor we couldn't identify. Broken/non-working items - Both kitchen sink stoppers had broken or missing seals. The lighter in the gril didn't work, and the lighter in the house looked like it had been melted and then run over. The grill brush also had no bristles left so the grill obviously hadn't been scrubbed in some time. Multiple lamps did not work (not just the burnt out bulbs either). The bathroom mirror was broken and had a sticker trying to hold in the glass pieces. The eco-pods were interesting for shampoo, etc., but there was no hand soap in the bathroom. All in all it could have been a great little rental, but it really needs a property manager to walk through and take a good look at things.
