Everything was great including customer service everywhere but rooms don’t get clean daily. Food was delicious at all restaurants except at Rasta beach grill.

9.4/10 Exceptional! (468 reviews)
Overall we had a great experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a Gauguin Suite, which felt more like a private villa than a hotel room. Having a secluded backyard and plunge pool was a huge plus and made the stay feel very intimate and relaxing. The beach is absolutely beautiful and easily one of the resort's biggest highlights. The food was surprisingly good. Since meals are made to order rather than sitting under heat lamps at a buffet, everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The drinks were ok, although pretty much what you'd expect from an all-inclusive Caribbean resort.
That said, this is not the type of resort you come to if you're looking to party. Galley Bay is all about relaxation, reconnecting with your significant other, and enjoying a slower pace of life. The evening entertainment is usually a live band playing music rather than the typical high-energy resort productions. Everything is very low-key and laid back.
One thing to note is that the resort itself is fairly small. You can walk from one end to the other in about 10 minutes, which we liked but if you're looking for a massive property with endless activities, this may not be the place.
My only real criticism is that some of the staff seemed a bit uninterested at times. Nobody was rude but we didn't experience the exceptionally warm service that many Caribbean resorts are known for. We didn't notice many guests tipping, so unlike other places the staff is not tip motivated.

The resort is absolutely gorgeous and is exactly as advertised. We found the atmosphere a little too quiet for our liking, would have preferred music or activities after dinner other than going back to our cottage.
Our real complaint came with the way guests were treated differently based on HOW the trip was BOOKED. We traveled with two other couples and they both booked directly, we booked through Expedia. The direct bookers were located in cabins with much better views while we were directly behind the bar and coffee shop so we didn’t have the same privacy and views were very much obstructed by foliage. The direct bookers received a stocked refrigerator and we couldn’t even get a a canned soda delivered. Then when we went to dinner, the Expedia booked couple were told the “supplemental” items on the menu would cost us extra but the two direct bookers were freely able to choose anything on the menu. The price difference between direct booking and Expedia booking, was $5! We did speak to the resort about the difference and they stocked our fridge and allowed us to choose the supplemental food free of charge, Alicia was very sympathetic and did the best she could to make things right however the bad taste in our moths stayed.

9/10 Wonderful! (940 reviews)
Overall really enjoyed our 7 night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Rooms were clean and well maintained, plunge pool was the center piece and did not disappoint. The shower heads were awful with no water pressure. Dining options are extremely limited but that the trade off when you go ultra private like this resort. Our trip was during shoulder season so most everything was minimally maintained, wasn’t an issue for us.

"Had to change rooms which took 2 days to arrange as the first room I would rate as 1* with very outdated amenities and bathroom not fit for use. Changed room was slightly better, but wouldn’t return to this resort."
