"Not a very clean room; dust is everywhere. One of the nightstand lights was missing a bulb, and the chair at the desk was broken so that you couldn’t sit on it. The makeup towel was dirty. The room smelled old and muddy. The hotel needs a lot of upkeep, and it could be in better condition overall. Staff friendly. Pet-friendly. "

"Hotel has no on-site staff. You have to call a # that isn't available to you until you get on site. I had to get the rollaway bed by myself. Extremely creaky floors make it impossible to have a quiet stay. "

"Remote location was quiet and private but very close to Ft Davis as well as other area attractions (Mcdonald Observatory, Balmorhea State Park/San Solomon Springs Pool, Ft Davis State Park, Marfa, etc.) The cabin was clean, well-equipped and the bed was super-comfortable. Saw aoudad sheep and many Texas songbirds during our stay. There's hiking available with great views of this spectacular ranch property"

"Oh my, this was my FAVORITE VRBO! And I’ve stayed in many over the years. It was clean, comfortable, but most of all ENTERTAINING! There was so much art and books and even secret little hidey holes filled with history and art! Card games, art supplies, 2 tvs, a record player and plenty of outdoor seating for star gazing. If we hadn’t gone hiking in the Davis Mountains and just stayed in the cottage the whole time we would have still had a blast! We can’t wait to come back!"
