The property manager buzzes you in when you get there. Huge first floor room with a bath tube. Easy walk down to the main area. Good options are tough in town and breakfast is limited.
Parking on site was a bonus so close to town. The room was lovely, very clean. Book a rear hotel if you wish to avoid traffic noise. Easy walk into town and many restaurants and shops. We would stay there again.
Very comfortable bed and pillows, room was nice and warm on a cold visit and parking was easy to access. Great conversation with one of the owners (Brandi) on check out and overall great experience being there. Definitely recommend this spot!
This was a great find only a 5 minute walk to restaurants and a grocery store. The room had ample space for the two of us including a small refrigerator which is nice. The bathroom and shower were also in pristine condition. At the front they had some disposable utensils if you needs them and the parking lot was also a nice freebie.
Ok, we admit it. We travelers from the USA are spoiled when it comes to hotel accommodations. While traveling in Europe, we can manage, quaint, tight rooms with tiny baths and showers, but after a couple weeks, you need a break. MacClean House in Ft. William was welcomed relief. Exceptionally clean and newly renovated, we spread out in a large king bedroom with sitting area and a spacious (by local standards) bath with a nice soaking tub. Check in, while a bit ‘digital age’-ish was efficient and easy. A doable walk to the rail station and the Main Street for shops and food, it is a pleasant layover on the route between Glasgow and Skye.
Don't usually leave reviews but have to this time. Wonderful greeting by Brandy at this modern, clean guest house. Onsite parking and just few minutes from town. Look forward to coming back.
The guesthouse is the perfect spot to stay in Fort William and explore the Highlands. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was very comfortable and everything in Fort William is an easy 10 minute walk away.
