“I called to confirm the reservation. In the midst of a heat wave, I lightly commented that I hoped the AC was working well. The person at the front desk said that he would turn on the room AC and it would be cold when I arrived. He not only had the room ready, but he also asked the next AM if the room was cold enough! I've traveled a lot as an engineer in multiple countries, but I rarely recall staff ever following up to make sure all was well”
