The room has been recently renovated, and was remarkably clean. The “window banger” A/C unit was very loud, but otherwise, the interior of the room was excellent. This is definitely a no frills motel experience, and the exterior of the building still needs work. Parking was convenient, but with relatively small spaces.

Nice rooms

The building looks old and a little rundown but the rooms were modern and nice. Location was great. Free parking. Food & shops are within a 10 minute drive. I would stay there again

A Great Escape from Hurricane Milton

Easy overnight stay

It was a great stay; the room had been freshly painted on the inside and had new flooring. The bed was clean and comfy. The quiet room was small but efficient for an overnight or weekend stay. Check-in/out was easy. The banner outside states new management; I think there will likely be outdoor makeovers to match the rooms.

I stayed here one year ago and it was fine, just the basics, but it was just recently purchased by new ownership. They have remodeled all the rooms and it’s night and day, new plumbing/furniture/bedding etc. Great location, very friendly and family owned establishment, and though not fancy it provides all you need for a nice weekend in Gainesville.

I’m happy new management took over. This place used to be a pit. The room we stayed in was clean and newer and once they clean up the outside it will be fine for a football weekend.

A dusty gem that could be better.

Property is old but seems to be maintained. Front desk person was friendly. Room seemed clean but lacked something. Hard to put my finger on it. Bed sheets were old, scratchy and there was no comforter. AC was noisy but worked well. For the money it was worth it.

There was plenty to like about the property. The property is under new management and the nice remodeling of the room was appreciated. Understandably, remodeling takes time. For instance, one bed was fine in our room and the other was old, creaky, and lumpy. It would be nice to see vending machines in the lobby. The ice machine worked nicely and was appreciated.

Would not stay again

The room was recently renovated with new paint and a new shower surround. And when requested, the staff brought a couple of extra pillows and replaced towels. But there was Taco Bell garbage in one of the dresser drawers, and dead roaches and live spiders under the bed. The A/C unit had an unpleasant smell. The shower curtain had mold and mildew. The bathroom fan did not clear the steam from the shower, but it did pull in the smell of someone cooking eggs in another room. The outer breezway to the room was not renovated. It did have extremely bright lighting, but smelled of marijuana, and felt sketchy. I appear to be unable to add a photo using the mobile app, but I think I gave an adequate description.

Clean but sparse- bring your own pillows & blanket

The positive: very clean (but very sparse) room, comfortable mattress, good shower, quiet room (even though we were at the front of the facility right above the office), AC worked well, less than 2 miles from UF campus The not so positive: very thin “bedspread” and only 2 pillows with no closet in the room with extra pillows or blankets. TV got very poor reception. No vanity in the bathroom - only a pedestal sink so there was no place to set toiletries. Terrible towels. No lobby, only a window-style check in. We were here on a football Saturday night so room rates were high, but not as high as many other places around. I would only pay half as much for this room any other night. To be fair, I did not go down to the check in to ask for extra pillows or blankets. They may have had some for us. All in all, if you come prepared with your own pillows, blankets, and towels for an overnight, it’s fine.
