"I've always wanted to try camping on the beach and this was a great way to do it. The tent is very spacious and clean and it is nice not having to bring any extra stuff or set up anything - the tent and chairs are already there. Just bring a cooler and relax. "Room was very clean, great view of the ocean. Staff were always very friendly. Breakfast tasted well above average for a free breakfast. It’s right across from the pier which was great for some fishing and there’s a gas station nearby. I’ll be booking this hotel again next time we come"

"We enjoyed our stay because the villa was spacious, comfortable, and accommodated our family well. The property was nice, and we appreciated many of the amenities. However, there were a few disappointing issues. The floors were not clean when we arrived. My 8-month-old niece was crawling around, and within minutes her hands, feet, and knees were black from the dirt on the floor. We called the front desk and were told someone would come clean them, but no one arrived that evening. The following morning, management quickly corrected the issue by sending housekeeping to thoroughly clean the floors. They also apologized for the inconvenience and provided us with a credit to use at the on-site market, which we truly appreciated. Their efforts to make things right did not go unnoticed. Another disappointment was that the listing photos were misleading. One of the main reasons we booked was because the pictures made it appear that the property had an infinity pool. After arriving, we found out the infinity pool actually belongs to the resort across the street and is not available to guests staying here. The photos should more clearly distinguish which amenities belong to this property. Despite these issues, we had a great trip and appreciated the staff’s willingness to resolve the housekeeping concern. I hope the listing is updated to better reflect the property’s actual amenities so future guests know exactly what to expect."

Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and committed to providing outstanding service. The food was truly first-class. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making dining at the resort an experience in itself. The fitness center exceeded my expectations. It was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for a great workout while traveling. The pool area was simply luxurious. It was the perfect place to relax, with comfortable seating, beautiful surroundings, and an atmosphere that made it feel like a true resort getaway. If you’re planning a trip to Galveston and want a hotel that combines history, luxury, outstanding amenities, and exceptional service, I highly recommend the Grand Galvez Resort. "There is a sense of luxury just walking up to the hotel but especially once you get inside. I was promptly greeted at the check in desk and was given great customer service. The room was a nice size, had a great view of the ocean, and was clean. The hotel is as close as you can get to the ocean in Galveston. They had several daily activities for both adults and children which was great since we have a young daughter. I would definitely stay here again!"
