Funchal6 nights4.0 star property9.6/10 - Exceptional (49 reviews)"A great hotel in a nice location. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and tidy. The property had the feel of a grand plantation house. The only thing letting it down was the slight complexity over the amenities. Whilst it has its own pool, everything else you require, such as food, bars, larger pools, etc., needs to be accessed from the Pestana hotels next door, which can be accessed through a route within the grounds. We found the breakfast area well, but never found the bar or other areas, as it..."Reviewed September 14, 2026Roundtrip • Boston (BOS) - Madeira Island (FNC)BOS - FNC • 1 stop FNC - BOS • 1 stop$5,905$3,634found 1 day agoper traveler - Pestana Grand Premium Ocean Resort

Plenty of food provided, just perhaps not enough choice for picky eaters (alot of seafood and vegetables)...perhaps could have more plain meat options for picky eaters. Other than that good choice of hotel."Reviewed October 16, 2026Roundtrip • Boston (BOS) - Madeira Island (FNC)BOS - FNC • 1 stop FNC - BOS • 1 stop$4,634$3,346found 1 day agoper traveler

"We had a great stay in the green room everything was excellent very clean comfortable bed welcoming drinks and snacks very quiet everything was excellent recommend to people who are interested.. Thank you Kasia for everything we will try to book in the future again."
"The location and views were amazing, but unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. There was an overwhelming smell of vinegar in the room, and the patio was covered in ants, which really detracted from the experience. We were also shocked to discover that pool towels cost €10. Charging guests extra for something as basic as a pool towel feels unreasonable and left a poor impression. We can’t comment on the breakfast itself, as we had to check out before 7 a.m. We did,...
"Fabulous hotel stay. Large room with very comfortable beds, house keeping excellent, breakfast very good with excellent hot and cold food choices. Amazing pool with various sunbathing areas and sufficient loungers. Good snack bar for lunches and drinks by pool. Good indoor pool with sauna and steam room. Walkable into old town, with supermarket, and good bars and restaurants in local vicinity."

Lots of great excursions, hikes, adventures, dining and shopping."
