"This was one of the finest travel experiences my husband and I ever had to be underground yeah. At first we were disappointed because we thought we were going to be in the underground brick bunker room and we weren't we were just in a plain old underground room but when I talked to the staff about it they upgraded us to the most beautiful room I've ever seen with a huge copper bathtub, a four poster bed the most luxurious comfortable place we've ever stayed. The the food was superb, incredible eggs benedict for breakfast, lovely steaks for dinner and a lovely outdoor garden where you can sit -- even in the rain because they have lovely plastic domes over some of the tables with lights and heaters oh it was wonderful."

The staff were showing the stress and when we were taken to our table the cutlery was chucked on a a dirty table. Had to wait 30 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The saving grace was that the food was excellent and piping hot."

Room was dark and had a spooky feel- which is what we were hoping for ! Will definitely return next year!"
