Hampton Inn & Suites Clayton/St. Louis-Galleria Area

Hampton Inn & Suites Clayton/St. Louis-Galleria Area

8/10 Good
"The room was small but clean. The disappointing part is that all of the doors were sticking in the door frames, so you had to pull or push them fairly hard in order to get them to close. All of the doors on my floor were having the same issue. It seems like a fairly easy fix to shave the sides of the doors down a bit in order to have them close smoothly. The biggest thing is that the fire alarm went off three times during the night. First at around 1:30, and we all went downstairs and outside. Then all clear, but then it went off again about an hour later after most of us went back to bed, so we all went downstairs again. The fire department showed up to check it out. Then all clear, but it went off yet again around 3:00 am or so, but just for a few seconds. There was no mention of this at all, and I would have thought the owners or Hilton would have at least sent an email to the guests to explain what was going on. The good thing is that there is no way to sleep through the fire alarm! All of the Hampton Inn team members were outstanding, super friendly, and nice. The ($20) "indoor" parking was nice, although if the hotel hadn't been in a nice area, I'm not sure how secure it would have been with no doors or other measures to keep people out of it. Security cameras are great to have, but put a mask or a hoodie on, and you're unrecognizable on camera. If it hadn't been such a convenient location, I would probably choose another hotel next time."
