"Good hotel but I felt it was quite expensive for the room standard. The view from the balcony was excellent but the aircon was weak and the bathroom felt dated. The location is super handy, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good and on at good times with plenty seating. The pool areas are a huge highlight of this hotel too- it’s great to have so many to choose from and beautiful views from the terrace. I felt we were charged a lot for extras I expected to be included, for example the onsite saunas. There was also a fee for lost room keys (and remember to take one per person for the pool areas so you cant get in otherwise). It was also the only hotel on our trip that charged for parking however I believe this is due to a bigger parking issue in Lake Bled in general. I would stay here again however- and booking the balcony room made all the difference!"

"If you want an authentic last Century stay this is the place. It is in a pedestrian only enclave which is pretty as a picture postcard and there is lots of shopping and great food. The hotel does not have a lift but staff manage your bags. High ceilings, 4 poster beds and period furniture. And the place is quiet as a church mouse. loved it and I will be back."

"The best things about this hotel are that it is a 1-minute walk from Villach HbF; the rooms (at least mine) were clean and quiet, despite proximity to the train (and bus) station; the desk staff was friendly; and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. "The hotel has an ideal location on lake Bohinj. It's a bit unclear where reception is when you arrive at the parking lot and first impression from the staff was not great. They were not very friendly for some reason. We upgraded from a basement room with a view of a parking lot 1st night to a great corner suite on top floor with an amazing view of the lake and mountain and a large bath 2nd night. Breakfast was good and we had light dinner and dessert at the hotel as well, which was good. Although, charging 20 euro for a cup of buckwheat is ridiculous, as much as I love buckwheat. Plenty of parking and there is a sauna and a large whirlpool. Wonderful location and concept, staff could be a bit more helpful at front desk and in the dining area. Muhr Villa dinner in day two was an amazing experience - another level."

"My room at this hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was well decorated, clean, and comfortable. The staff was fantastic and helpful. The food at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was wonderful. The location is peaceful and quiet. It's an easy trip from the hotel down to Lake Bled, and it's nice to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. I highly recommend this hotel."
