Older hotel, I can tell it use to be quite fancy, there are tennis courts that are now over grown and nolonger functional, and a nice little beach front area of grass and sand that are both covered in goose poop, but back when they were maintained they were probably pretty enjoyable. Huge grounds with lots of grassy areas for dog walking and sniffing, and no pet fee so that was nice. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the funtional areas of grounds were well kept. Also had nice, well maintained docks, and boating area. The restaurant is priced as if it were still a fancy hotel, and breakfast was not included. No coffee maker in the room and the coffee in the lobby was put away around noon. The shower was okay, but definitely not great, and the bedroom door was difficult to shut. It do look like many of the guests really enjoyed the bar, but we dont drink and being near it (especially on karaoke night) was loud and annoying. If you like quiet I would request a room that is not near the lobby or restaurant. I will say, we are use to staying in much nicer hotels, and it was definitely much nicer than a motel 6 or super 8. We stayed there out of necessity because it was hoopfest weekend and the hotels I would normally book were $200 more a night than usual. 😔
