The owner, Jan, was so kind, accommodating and quick to respond allowing us early check in after an overnight flight and late check out as well.The cottage has everything you could ask for - comfortable beds, two bathrooms, well appointed kitchen and cosy living and dining space. “2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. “Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!”
