Centrally located between Homosassa (4 Minutes ) Crystal River (5 Minutes) . Large area for boat storage . The house is NEW tile floor thru out . Each bedroom contains a Queen bed with Cable TV . Wireless Internet dedicated to Home . SHOWER Stall and water closet . Dining area and living room . Coffee/Toast/ Micro full size fridge / . Great for Dogs . We have a large yard in back to enjoy . Trails to explore . . Also walk to Nice BBQ same distance . Scalloping and Fishing are super Hot in the summer . We have a list of Local Captains that will gladly host your family and friends . Located in a more commercial area but quiet and close to restaurants, grocery, bike trail, and Homosassa Springs. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Back yard was large, fenced, and private, great to relax in.

We enjoyed our week at this property! Great locations, the yard was a huge plus for our fur babies. The hosts were great and readily available if we needed anything. Thank you for not having any breed restrictions either. We would definitely stay there again.

We had friends come with their family from Wi so we thought we would rent a home to be closer to them. House is close to downtown and a lot of places to drop for kayaking. Felt secluded, which we loved.

Love, love, love the Hippo House!
Located on a quiet dead end street, I never even saw a neighbor, is the Hippo House. Cute, exactly as described, inside is spacious and clean, the backyard is huge! I brought my dog and she absolutely loved it!!!!!! I would definitely stay here again. Communication was wonderful!!! It's located between Crystal River and Homosassa Springs, there are several supermarkets, gas stations and restaurants within a few minutes drive. You're also only minutes away from several Springs. Great location!!! Private but still close to anything you need!

It was very cozy for us and our three dogs. We needed a fenced in yard and we got one, a big one. We really wasn't in the house much unless it was raining or sleeping. The beds are comfortable. The shower was a little slick. But all in all, it was perfect for what we needed.

This was a trip to take care of family business. The property was clean and the property manager was responsive to my requests. This property met our needs but could use some updating. The house is within a block of one of the main highways with lots of traffic. I do very much appreciate properties like these who allow and welcome dogs.

Nice place to be able to rest but get things done
Great hosts, never bothered us but still made sure everything was attended to. It os off a main roadway so sometimes there was noise not gonna lie but it was very private no one bothered us was nice had laundry facilities, i had just made a very big moved lots of stress and stressful things to do but having internet and tv and lots of quiet space no one around was so amazing. we stayed a week and really liked it. would totally revommend for long term needs as there is everything there we need. then after my chaotic day id get to relax a bit watching some movies to wind down.

Not going to recommend this place with a nice back yard grill and nice house in a good location, because I'd like to stay again and if I said good things Everyone else would want to stay there! All kidding aside it was just right for us the hosts Marie &Karl were fun and helpful!

Cozy stay.
This house we perfect for my husband and I and our black lab. The yard was perfect for the dog to you out and play. House is on a a dead end street so it was nice to take him for a walk next to the house. Beds were comfy and the house is very cozy. The kitchen had the main necessities. It was very clean on the inside. Great location to do see sites in Crystal River and Homosassa. Would highly recommend staying here.

Love the Hippo House!
Just love this place and keep going back! This was my 3rd visit. The place is always clean and has everything you need for your stay. The fenced back yard is a wonderful bonus if you like to travel with you fur friends. The hosts Karl and Marie are the best! The house is located on a dead end street so not alot of road traffic but is conveniently located off Hwy 19 so it's a short drive to kayak rentals(to see the Manatees!), resturaunts and nature trails! I will be back for a 4th visit!

Homossassa Hippo
Completely by my mistake, this stay started on the wrong foot. I booked quite late, wasn't familiar with Vrbo and therefore didn't realize my request for Dunnellon locations had cast a net wide enough to include Homosassa. I picked and paid for a place that clearly told me such a late booking couldn't be changed. Then almost immediately afterwards realized my error. Karl was patient with my request to cancel, and contacted several other people interested in booking to see if he could make up for such a late cancellation on my part. When he couldn't, my family just decided to come stay in Homossassa and make the best of it. We ended up having a fun visit, with no complaints. The fenced yard was perfect for our small dogs. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was adequately stocked with the necessities.
