"The Beacon is well-priced and a great value! Nothing fancy, but this is a vintage style motel with tons of charm. Like vintage motels, not a lot of room for belongings - a well-placed shelf would be helpful in the bathroom for vanity items. But, it is exactly as expected - small, charming, and perfect for a get-away to the beach. Very nice beach location with easy access (boardwalk through the dunes ) and a nice observation deck at the end of the boardwalk, before descending the stairs to the beach. At the motel, there is a very nice and large outdoor gathering area for relaxing and hanging out in the evenings, suitable for larger groups and also small private seating areas. The room was updated recently and clean, with a very comfortable bed. A few restaurants and stores are within walking distance, but the location is nicely suited in a slower paced section of the island."

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. There was hot coffee around the clock which for us coffee drinkers was awesome. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if your in the Jacksonville area. Thanks to the staff we really appreciate all that you did to make our stay amazing."
