Front desk clerk lacks professionalism and courtesy, they forget people are paying for a service and experience not your baggage from home. 2. You pay a hefty some for a wedding at the venue and they can’t accommodate a late check out, I had to get an Airbnb nearby for my wife to get ready for our wedding. 3. “After researching online and reading tons of reviews for many hotels, resorts, and bnb's in and around Ocho Rios, we booked a 6-night stay at Sand and Tan, and I'm so incredibly glad we did! Breakdown: What the other reviews got RIGHT: This hotel is right on the beach and has all of the basics. Our room was exactly as advertised and clean. Basic housekeeping was included. Small fridge, microwave, AC that worked great, WIFI that had no issues, hair dryer, safe, and an ironing board. Nothing……

“Still very new so there wasn’t a lot of stuff and we were the only people on the property so the service wasn’t the best in terms of quality. The property was clean but maybe a little unkept because of the lack of traction/traffic. Felt safe ”

“The staff is very rude and was not helpful. They stated since we made the reservation on Expedia, we received a discount. Additionally the AC in the room started to leak and requested another room. The staff gave us a difficult time. Our original room did not even have a clothing iron. Additionally the internet gave issues and when ask the staff was not helpful and rude. I would not recommend this is hotel at all. This hotel was was downside of my vacation. ”

“The room is comfortable. However its not as seen in picture in terms of decor. The painting that was to be placed on the wall was stored in the closet. The i room safe didnt work. The light over the face basin was not working. The fan and main light in the room was not working. The maintenance personnel said he would return to fix those but didnt come back. It is however a quiet property. The property itself is clean. Just the room i stayed in needs to be worked on. ”

“My father and I recently returned from a stay at Sandcastles - and I would wholeheartedly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a very friendly, local, and down-to-earth stay! As we first arrived, check-in was quite simple and staff was very friendly and swift to help us learn. Every day&night the resort had great food options either up top at the Silver Sands restaurant, or at the bar near the pool; the Castle Blu, with good drinks and great staff at both locations!
