Icklesham RV Parks 2026

"The hotel is looking a little tired now and could do with redecorating. We arrived a little early for check in, but reception was unmanned. We waited about 15 minutes and pressed the buzzer 3 times but no one materialised. The room was cleaned well apart from a glass being smashed in the bathroom, when we got back there were still several shards of glass on the floor which were dangerous in a bathroom. The hotel’s location is excellent and close to restaurants and shops."

"Beautiful place in a lovely setting. Across the road from the beach. Staff could not do enough for us, very welcoming and polite. Breakfast was lovely and great choice. Restaurant food was lovely and staff very attentive to my other half’s food allergies and checked everything through with her and were more than willing to make any changes to her meal that was required."

"Everything was perfect in our stay room was clean and nice all the amenities were good was a shamed that the hot tub wasn’t operating in our stay"

"I eventually found a double room which I thought was good ( my first one was cold) only to find that there was a humming sound that kept me awake coming from the two ventilators/generators on the roof outside my window BUT Lauren from reception was fantastic and is an asset to Cooden Beach Hotel, well done Lauren and the other members of staff👍The Spa massage was great but I thought a little pricey, having said the above I would still recommend Cooden Beach "

"This hotel has seen better days and it shows. It's not the fault of the staff. The price reflects this though."

"I’m sorry to say this was a bitter disappointment. Please don’t be mislead by the 5 star grading. This is just about a 3 star at best. The executive room mattress must be over 20 years old the way it’s it’s dipped and given way. Had to sleep in the middle and woke up with a terrible back. Food was really terribly basic. Staff are lovely and couldn’t fault their friendliness which was the one benefit. "

"Comfortable large double room, clean and fresh smelling. The on-suite was large and well set out. Only negative was a shower that barely sprayed, no pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Bed was very comfortable and the quilt heavy. Food was standard pub fare well cooked and delicious. The staff were were good, welcoming and helpful. Car parking was easy and secure. Will stay again if available."
