"There was hair in the shower and sink. The shower liners looked dirty and much to long and hanging in the dirty water. Trash was left in the downstairs. There was no toilet paper, trash can liners, or soap for the shower. Multiple obvious mouse traps left the feeling there was a mouse problem that we may encounter- which we did not. "

This was our second trip, and even though we had one rainy day, we were able to enjoy our time together, culminating in eating dinner outside while enjoying a nice fire and watching the third Lord of the Rings movie. "We enjoyed the place -- it is well set up for a mountain stay. Wood is indeed beautiful. Kitchen is great. Appreciated the various apps on the TV. Great location, very quiet except for the nearby construction. We would recommend you not go in cool -- or most definitely cold -- months. The place doesn't have central heat, which is fine, but the heaters it does have are simply not sufficient to keep the house warm. Not pleasant to come home to. "Just back from a spring getaway to beautiful Roan Mountain. This was our second stay at Kim and Art's lovely mountain cottage. Had a great time hiking with our dogs, who loved being off leash at the property. The cottage is clean, cozy and artfully decorated. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit!"

"We had a great time at the treehouse! There was more than enough room for my family of 5. We all had so much fun. Beautiful view. The only thing that i could say is. There wasnt enough curtains to cover all the windows. They had a sign that said leave door locked for bears (paraphrasing) and my kids were terrified at night.
