“This is the best property to stay at Udaipur. It is located within walking distance to major landmarks, absolutely charming haveli, clean, well maintained, calm and peaceful. The staff is very helpful, hot breakfast to begin the day and classical live music to begin the day. Will stay here again during next visit.”
“I was impressed by everything—from the moment I arrived and received the orientation to the evening traditional folk dance performance and the interior décor.
This is a hotel well worth making a special trip to visit.”
“Excellent, beautiful property , nicely run by the best people in town and close by main attractions . Highly recommended !! Service, food and general condition are unbeatable ”
“This was a great hotel with great service. The clean rooms and caretaker was top notch for India. Would recommend this hotel. The room we got also had amazing views of the lake.”
“We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is in the hustle and bustle of the old town. The staff and manager couldn’t be more helpful. The Aircon was good in the bedroom. The roof top restaurant was nice and food was excellent. The building had charm and character. It had been beautifully restored and the furniture was in keeping with its heritage. You need to accept that it’s an old building and isn’t sound proof. If you are a light sleeper you will be woken up by horns and dogs barking. That’s part of……
“Location was beautiful with nice view from terrace to see lake Pichola and surroundings, room was nice, property has nice surroundings and fine swimming pool. It is well maintained. Food in Umbrai restaurant was fine, breakfast was a bit limited for western standards.
One negative aspect to mention: there are way too many waiters in Umbrai restaurant gathering together and talking and they are too curious. One of the waiters put my arm up and showed my tattoo to his colleagues and did not……
“Rooms were spotless. Staff was courteous. Amenities were as excellent. Owner (Caesar) met us and inquired about our travel. I will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Udaipur. ”
“Lake view room was 5 *, the view from the bath at sunset was beauitful, possibly the best room we have had on our travels in India, the guy who greeted us was very polite and helpful, however the staff we served us our evening mral in restaurant reduced this from 5 star to 4 star.”
“"It's a cozy and lovely place." occurred to me at the first glance of its little courtyard. The small lanes in the front is just quiet and so different from the surroundings. However, the room is ordinary and especially bathroom is basic. With a four star hotel rates, I think its quality is far away from the price. Our room is located on the ground floor, facing right towards a rooftop restaurant. We booked one month before our arrival and it was so noisy, with no view at all. This is so not……
“We had such and amazing stay here. King and his family are truly the best. It was my birthday and I just Casually mentioned it. And they threw me a surprise birthday party on the terrace. ”
“View from the room was best i could ever get. Room was clean. Staff was friendly, gone beyond to fulfill the needs of the guests. Hotel is on a great great location. Just a minute away from lake pichola. You could see the lake, the ghat, the pichola market from your balcony. The size of the room was also pretty big. Overall 11/10. ”
“Only half the rooms had access via elevator. I had no elevator to my room and that also I found out after the room was assigned. Had I known that I would not have stayed there. Was strange building with really narrow tight corridors with stairs. Room rent should not have been more than 1000 Rs!”
