Shown here is the rear of the original Batmobile, which was a modified 1955 Lincoln Futura. The Batmobile was completed in 1965 and made its first debut on TV on January 1966 - it overheated, the battery went dead, and the expensive Mickey Thompson tires kept blowing. It was sold in an auction in 2013 for $4.2 million.
