"The hotel itself was lovely. Perfectly located & central to most of downtown Charleston. We found the pool area to be quite busy during the week & also the staff to always seem slightly rude and inconvenienced whenever being served at the pool. We stayed in one of the suites and although it was large and extremely spacious, the floors were scuffed and the cupboards in the kitchenette were off their hinges. The hotel could be better maintained."

"We celebrated our first anniversary at your property. I was in hotel management for 35 years and I've never encountered a more experienced, genuinely friendly staff. The resort itself is a sight to behold. Fresh, calming and restorative. Our king riverfront room was so lovely with the canopy bed and generous views. I do have to mention the quality of food. Presentations were lovely and nice portions, but everything we ordered was overpowering salty. We did mention this to the manager who accepted the critique graciously. Perhaps consider a complementary continental breakfast. Two coffees and one breakfast bread was $20.00. A little steep perhaps? There was no real gift shop. Just the spa which looked inviting. Maybe next time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return."
