Beautiful area within walking distance of Johnson Canyon. Cabin beds were comfortable but on the firm side. However, Propane heater was broken and we were given an electric heater. It was difficult to maintain a good temperature without a thermostat at night so it was a bit cold at night. Days were comfortable, though!

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
It was bad smelling in the 1st day and asked staff for providing air freshner which made better
Having our own private cabin was a nice change from hotel rooms. Cabin was clean and tidy. Minimal amenities within the cabin (compared to hotels) but that was expected. Negative reviews I read on-line were I think due to people expecting comparable amenities, but that is not what these accommodation strive to achieve. It is a different, more rustic experience, which we liked.
We had stayed 2 years ago and it was wonderful. This time the food at the restaurant was subpar at best (and there was hair in the eggs) and the room we stayed in was not cleaned properly. The rings from the previous people's toothbrushes was still on the countertop and I had to clean the mirror in the bathroom so that I could so my hair as I could not see myself.
We love this place. A great place to get away. Very cozy cabins. The cafe and restaurant served good hearty food, but the staff had a bit of end-of/-season familiarity with each other, and casuality that seemed to make them indifferent to guests in their care. Still, we'd go again.
