“Beware non-Muslim guests! This is a dry hotel, and apparently consumption of alcohol is prohibited anywhere on the property. This was not disclosed prior, which is unacceptable!
We were a couple staying one night only. We had the suite with a balcony on the 3rd floor. Booked through Expedia. The room is spacious and well presented. Good view over the river. Breakfast was excellent.
Now for the bad: we were told as going up to our room in the lift juggling beer and wine bottles that consumption……

The room was a good size and the bed was huge and comfortable.
Plus the shower has the hottest water in Sri Lanka!
The internet signal can be a little inconsistent ok if your rooms are near reception but signal quality drops if your at the end of the hotel?”

One issue - the wash basin in the bath room did not drain well and there was blockage. As a result there was some smell coming off the bathroom.
Shower door did not close well - as a result there was water leakage”

The setting is exceptional: tranquil, elevated, surrounded by greenery, and beautifully maintained. The infinity pool is stunning and the staff are very mindful of guests seeking quiet. It genuinely feels peaceful.
