"Really easy to find, you have masses of parking available to you, and the bed was really comfy. The lake view is a huge bonus too - it was gorgeous to wake up to and not what you normally get view wise for a budget motorway services hotel haha. Nice hot shower, clean bedding and towels, and everything worked and functioned as expected. Would definitely stay again"

"The hotel was easy to find, like it’s says in the name of”the gateway “. It’s the gateway to Windermere “. It only took us approximately 15 mins tops going to Windermere. Our room was on top floor. It’s small but it’s clean, very nice, quiet and cozy. There’s a touch modern, sophisticated chic look. We have a 3 yr old Chug called coco with us and as soon as we take her up in bed, she always go straight and position herself to the bolster pillow behind it , which is bigger than her right in the middle of the bed. The bed was comfortable . The 2 very nice chairs were very comfy to sit on while having a warm drink. The bathroom was nice and clean. I celebrated my birthday in there and I got complimentary bottle of proseco from the management. Thank you so much. The food was very nice and tasty. They allowed dogs with you in the restaurant which we thought was amazing because like our coco, she likes bread with butter. And they have comfortable seats with parasol outside the restaurant where you can just relax and have a drink. They have a huge front lawn where dogs like coco can play and they have their own parking space right infront of the hotel so you know your car is safe. The staffs were all very nice and welcoming to us as well as to coco especially Ionella. We will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends, family & colleagues. xx"

"The staffs are helpful! When we asked for a clean towel, they gave us instantaneously. The next evening, a staff member knocked on the door and offered us fresh towels. 5/5 for the staffs."

"It was our first time staying at Glenholme, and it certainly won’t be our last. The landlady, Glen, gave us a very warm welcome and was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The room featured an excellent complimentary tray that was extremely generous, along with a lovely rainforest shower. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choices, and having private parking on-site was a huge plus. All in all, this is a wonderful bed and breakfast that we highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Kendal!"
