When we arrived at our room the toilet overflowed for no apparent reason. It took hours to have someone to fix it and clean after two requests. It was difficult to get housekeeping to clean our room, we had to request service multiple times while towels and trash were stacking up. Housekeeping, when they did arrive (2 times in 6 days), never replenished the coffee maker, water or soap. We ran out of the complimentary soap and shampoo (they have it locked to the shower wall). After we requested housekeeping to clean and replenish the soap for a couple days (we stayed 6 nights), we found a bottle of the body wash outside our door. The morning, we checked out, housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10:59 am, literally. The safe was broken, I think the batteries were dead. After requesting 2x they finally replaced the batteries. We went the first two days without a safe which caused us to carry our cash with us - very inconvenient and unsafe. The door to the balcony came off the tracks on the 4th day causing a HOT draft into our bedroom. The AC was on 65 the entire time however, it only cooled the front room of our suite. The bedroom was HOT each night. The elevator was broken. We met one couple who were staying on the 5th floor, and they were not happy. Thankfully, we stayed on the 2nd floor, but it was inconvenient for us as well. On a positive note: Lillie our server on the beach and pool was fantastic!! Willow at the front desk was helpful as well.

We have stayed in the sister property to "The Reach" for 20 years. Due to remodeling we tried The Reach as its a Hilton property as well. Unfortunately, the name says it all. "The Reach" is a reach in an attempt to make a Holiday Inn an upper scale hotel. On the first day of a week long stay we were scorned by staff for having a sandwich from an outside restaurant in the hotel. The rooms are small and the showers are ridiculously small. I'm 5"11 and 200lbs and could barely turn around in it without hitting an elbow on the handicap holds. Only one of the two hotels two elevators worked the entire stay and at multiple times none were working. The rooms are exterior rooms so three flights of stairs in that humidity was less than pleasing. One of the nights of oue stay they hosted a wedding. Which resulted in us listening to thumping music until almost midnight. One of the wedding guests destroyed the sand sculpture on the beach that night as well. The beach is the only great thing about the hotel. One of the best on the island. But, once again the hotel is after money so half the beach is reserved for paid cabanas (which i never saw anyone rent the entire week). We also had a ceiling light in our room that would randomly turn on at odd hours in the middle of the night and stay on. Our final night one of pur rental bike had the kickstand broken off of it while attached to the bike rack in the parking garage. The bike besode ours had the lock cut off it. We will not return.

Our stay at The Reach was amazing. Staff was accommodating and helpful at every turn. The private beach access was the main draw for booking this Key West hotel and it did not disappoint! We will definitely return to Kew West and The Reach hotel will be our first reservation!

We just returned home from a week at The Reach. Our stay was great! Our room was spacious and clean and convenient to pool and beach. The water was calm and so relaxing. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The restaurant had delicious food but was pricey. We will definitely return!!!

We had a very nice experience at The Reach. Great pool, bar, beach, location and staff. The air conditioning seemed to struggle and getting the shower at a desired temp was challenging, but I’d recommend staying there.

The property is clean and attractive, the room was clean and well done. More important, the staff was very pleasant, accommodating and professional. The negative was without a bell person, locating the room in a maze of walkways was not easy when we were exhausted from travel. I missed a three step drop, and spent the vacation with a black eye from the fall. The restaurant and bar are excellent. The bartender was not only quick with a drink, but with an ice bag for my face, much appreciated! And room service is very speedy. Pool attendants are available with towels and chair covers, and cocktail service at the pool and beach is good. Most services such as spa are at the sister property next door, close, but not as convenient as we had hoped.

The property was beautiful in the common areas. Really nice. Beach was small but enough. Sand wash off station was broken all week. The room my family had was basically a hotel room, but was sold as a suite. I don't feel like I stayed in a resort

Great location and close enough to walk to many sites in the area. Loved the private beach! One of the elevators was down the entire time and the other one was out some of i but not a big deal. We had an issue with the a/c in our room but they quickly moved us to a better room and gave us a credit for the inconvenience. Valet was awesome and the ladies at the front desk Rock.

Although the property has been remodeled and has nice finishes management of the property is terrible. We had to change rooms three times. The first room smelled so strongly like cigarette smoke that we had headaches within 5 minutes. The second room was “temporary” for two nights until a room the same size as the first one became available. For our frustration we were offered a room with a resort view. This was a view of the parking lot and partially of the turf in the center of the property. These are just a few issues that we had. Location was great.

Older but wonderful property right on the beach. Great location walking distance to Duval and many other attractions. Views from outdoor bar and restaurant are wonderful. Will definitely stay again.
