“The property is unique in that it’s a very old castle turned into a hotel. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the rooms have contemporary amenities while maintaining an historical ambiance. The lounge served excellent food for lunch and dinner, with an absolutely delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding that is sure to impress Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry!❤️❤️ The breakfast is excellent with ample buffet and à la carte selections. “The room was nicely appointed but uncomfortably warm due to time of year. A fan was provided but only gives little help and was noisy. Lighter TOG bedding would be helpful in the summer months. Food in the evening was nice but the menu could be a little more expansive when guests are staying several nights. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. The lack of onsite parking is a minor drawback but as charges are relatively cheap in the nearby public car park this is not a serious issue. The staff……
