“Claire was very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean with a view of the beautiful garden. She did a typical English breakfast which was delicious with fresh fruit and other goodies. I would recommend.”

“It was an old characterful building with many original features. It was evident from the certificates and photos around the place that it had been a hotel & restaurant of note with award winning credentials. It isn’t a shiny glitzy hotel but equally the decor was quite tired and patched up in places. “Lovely triple room, not huge but big enough. Tea and coff3e making facilities. Lovely big bathroom and a nice shower.”

“Cleanliness was good, but the humming sound in the bathroom, which I believe it’s from the water heater, was too loud for comfort. The pillows are excellent but the double bed is too small for 2 adults. There was no power point by the bedside, which caused some inconvenience for my husband’s CPAP machine.”

But I then found that it coincided with football being shown on a large screen TV just yards away in the courtyard from my window, and that my room was next door to a gents toilet open to the visitors (ie public).
