"This was the perfect, remote, peaceful getaway.The host was in communication right from the booking and went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was magical. Thoughtful little gifts for our children as it was Christmas and a pack to decorate for New Years. Just wonderful.The barn itself was clean, spacious and fitted with everything you could need. Located in a remote area on a bird reserve was perfect for star gazing and lots of walks. Go prepared with a shop and settle in! The nearest shop...

"I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"Probably the best cottage we've ever had for quality of cottage, location and scenery. Kirkcudbright is 6 miles away with all the local amenities and some lovely independent shops and cafés. Stunning scenery and country parks. Would love to go back again."

"We spent Halloween 2024 at Whitehall Pele tower to celebrate our paranormal teams (S.P.I.R.I.T UK-Solway Paranormal) 10th anniversary. Every year we spend our anniversary night in an historically rich location and Whitehall, with its history and its mention in several local legends was perfect. Very spacious, modern, yet still holding onto its old world atmosphere. Its just a shame we only stayed for the one night as it would take several to take in everything this beautiful place has to offer....

"Good property in a great location, excellent grounds and access to the beach which the dogs loved. Good quality kitchen , just missing a small welcome pack which we normally have when we go for a cottage stay, its always useful. Bedrooms were a bit basic and didn’t like not having a full shower, some small details need to be looked at, curtains in lounge with mis- matched or broken curtain rings. Overall we had a great stay in a lovely part of Scotland."
