“This property has great rooms with full kitchens. All the appliances that you would need for a vacation. The bar makes excellent margaritas and the staff is great.”

“The pool is fully shaded so a nice break from the sun as needed. A/C kept the room cool. A more rustic, authentic feel than a lot of newer places. Lots of beautiful plants around the property.”

“Well cared for grounds. The units have been kept up to date. A prime location.”

“The beach is blocked by piles of rocks. Had to buy special shoes to climb over the rocks and get into the water. Very dangerous. Meanwhile access to the beach a little further in either direction was free and clear — no rocks. The room had a beautiful view but smelled of mold and needed updating, old stained furniture and very hard bed with worn bedspread and sheets. It’s beside a highway so there was traffic noise all the time. Food took forever and often arrived cold. Would not recommend.……

“I recently stayed at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa and unfortunately the experience did not match the expectations of an adults-only resort. While the property is marketed as adults only, it shares facilities with Dreams Resort, and there were kids throughout many of the common areas. This made it feel less like a true adults-only getaway. The service at the lobby was also disappointing. Staff often didn’t know basic information such as opening and closing times for restaurants and amenities.……

“The food wasn’t very good. Good enough to get by for a short stay but that’s about it. Bar staff were great and prepared drinks quick but they were really lacking. Very basic. Cleaning staff were very nice but no extras in the room or mini fridge. No pool service for food or drink. Not a bad resort so long as you know ahead of time what you’re going to get. Check in and out were a breeze. Very uncomplicated, front desk staff were very prepared ”
