We arrived at the Delta by Marriott property on a Saturday afternoon in late May. Our stay was prepaid and it was so bad that we checked out on Sunday morning and found another hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The buffet food was inedible and the only reservation available for the nicer restaurant wasn't for 2 more days. My husband had toast for dinner. The walls are paper thin - our neighbor had a cough and it kept us up all night. The pool situation is ridiculous for a resort that big. The main pool had about 14/16 chairs and that was it. The 'natural' pool was supposed to be stocked with drinks - soda and alcohol, but of course the only thing there was soda. We had a snack at the pool bar when we got there and ordered nachos and beer. The waiter told us that there was no Tecate Light, so we had Coors Light and then immediately saw someone get Tecate Light. When we were walking out of breakfast on Sunday, there was someone emptying what looked to be a dirty sauna up the hillside from the restaurant, dirty water flowing freely towards the walkway to the restaurant.Upon checkin, we were told by Eulysese that we should arrive at the lobby 30 minutes prior to the time that the bus would be leaving for the beach in order to put our names on the list. We went down there to do just that and were told that there was no list, we just had to wait. When the (very small) bus came, they read off of a list and it appeared that almost no Americans made it on the bus. Horrible. Don't waste your $

The property being in the mountains is a very unique experience! It had a wonderful view and a shuttle that takes you to the beach. It is very quiet which makes it the perfect place to relax. There isn't any entertainment currently due to COVID, but staff confirmed that they are working on bringing that back. All the staff were so kind and very helpful. You get to travel across the resort through a golf cart which was very easy to access. The food was amazing and we looked forward to it every day. There is a 24/7 pantry which was so accessible for any late night snacks you'd be craving. They also have a waterpark and a lazy river in the works which apparently will be done by the end of June! It was the perfect get away from our regular busy lives and we definitely recommend visiting if you're looking for the perfect place to relax!

This resort is gorgeous you feel like you are in a tropical jungle. The natural pool is wonderful and so is the main pool. The lazy river/water park was not open yet but will be amazing. The rooms, food and service were great. My daughter and I loved it.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I came with my family and at first we were confused that it wasn’t beachfront but I promise you it is not a problem!! They take you on a van (which is an adventure because you get to see the little town) to the beach club which is beautiful, beachfront, delicious food, incredible bar and also the restrooms are nice! The hotel itself is so amazing, the rooms are clean are spacious and so comfortable. The staff is super friendly, Ulises, Sheila, Edgar , Rosa , esmeralda, Salvador everyone ! The food was to our liking and enjoyed it very much, good quality! Also want to mention that what we loved about this hotel is that it’s not pretentious its truly a place to come and relax. This place is worth every dollar and will definitely be coming back!
