Giant Adirondack House on Sherman Lake, Near Lake George, Perfect 2 Family Vac.

This 4,200 sf log home overlooks Sherman Lake from a small hill adjacent to the water. Lake access for swimming, boating, fishing or just sitting in the sun, is a short walk down and across the road. There is a golf cart that fits 4 people and is great for transporting a cooler and picnic.

Well-equipped spacious modern kitchen with dual islands, dual ovens and dual dishwashers. 24’ x 32’ Living room has 18’ cathedral ceilings with a canoe and kayak hanging from beams. Dining room table made from reclaimed barn timbers seats 12 comfortably.

Large master bedroom with king bed, en suite bathroom, and walkout porch. Upstairs full bath and 2 bedrooms. Ground level full bath and large bedroom with 2 daybeds that open into 4 twins and its own exterior entrance.

Ground level includes family room with TV, ping-pong & foosball table. Outside fire pit with wood. Fresh skewers for roasting marshmallows are right inside! On a clear night the stars are magnificent, and you often hear loons on the lake.

At the lake enjoy 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, 2 "kiddie" kayaks, SUP, inner-tubes, picnic table & chairs. This is a shared waterfront (we have the left side of the property and dock as you face the water). Please "carry-in/carry-out". Behind the house, you may hike the trails leading up the mountain. You will also see there are access points to the Schroon River along East Schroon River Road on your drive into our property.

Approx. 5 min drive from Adirondack Extreme, only 6 miles from Brant Lake (Check out The HUB for some live music or food),15 min to downtown Bolton Landing shopping and restaurants. Not far from Lake George Village.

Fantastic place
This was our second time staying at Troy’s cabin. We had three families including 6 adults and five kids. The basement was perfect for the 2 bigger kids to stay, and there was plenty of room in the bedrooms to set up our pack n plays for the 2 babies. There are stairs and it’s not baby proof, but we brought our own gates and that worked out great. The kitchen is huge and has all of the essentials. The campfire outside is great to sit around at night, and the lake views are beautiful. The lake is a quick walk or golf cart ride away and great for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. The house is easy driving distance to Bolton Landing and Lake George Village. Troy is a great host and very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will be back!

Relaxing Week
Our purpose of our vacation was a relaxing long weekend and we had that in this gorgeous plot. Hiking, kayaking, camp fires, we enjoyed all the amenities the property and surroundings provided. Quick drive to the local grocery store as well as Diamond point and Lake George Village. You’ll fall in love with the home the second you walk in and plenty of beds and space for the WHOLE family or group of friends.

Amazing stay at the lake!
This house on Lake Sherman was The perfect stay for my family. We had six adults, three kids 11-13, one 5yo and two babies. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was great and the dining room table large enough for us to all sit around. The fire pit was great for sitting out at night. The view from the living room was beautiful. Lake access is right down the road with kayaks and paddle boards available for use. The kids also loved fishing off of the dock. Lake George and Bolton landing are a close drive. Troy was available if we needed anything and communicated well. We had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Don't Hesitate - BOOK THIS HOUSE
We do a family vacation every year but this was our first time to the Lake George area and it didn't disappoint. Troy's house was absolutely perfect! There is tons of space, plenty of comfortable sleeping and a fantastic fire pit. Plus the shared dock on the lake and the VIEW - just awesome. Cannot wait to come back!

The house was amazing! It is such a great size that it offered everyone a space of their own with a huge spaces indoors and outdoors for gathering as a family. Dream kitchen which made it so easy to prepare & cook together. Grill was great. All bedrooms were great with comfortable beds. Location was just incredible as we spent a lot of time at the lake. The use of the golf cart was an added bonus. It made running back and forth to the house a breeze. Our host was incredible and so easy to communicate with. We literally have no complaints. The most relaxing vacation ever. Thanks SO MUCH!!

Our stay at the Boathouse
The Boathouse was beautiful. Very spacious with plenty of space for all of us to sleep. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The Lake was a short walk across the road. My older grandkids enjoyed driving the golf cart to the lake. This is not a beach access and you enter the lake from a pier. We had a couple of issues when we first arrived and contacted Troy who addressed them right away. The road to get there was a little scary at night. 3 miles of narrow dirt road with no lights.

Amazing Experience at the Boathouse!
Not sure where to start, there were so many wonderful things about staying at the Boathouse. It was really a whole experience, not just a rental. First, the house is just beautiful, very comfortable & relaxing, and stocked with everything you could imagine, even doing the dishes was not a chore when you had a beautiful view of the lake from the kitchen window and we loved cooking and eating together in the spacious kitchen/dining area! The view of the lake from outside, at the fire pit (where Troy has stocked tons of wood for fires), and inside, in the living room was just incredible, could sit there all day. When it rained there was plenty to do between playing foosball, ping pong, and many family games like Scrabble. Kayaking and fishing on the lake was our favorite outdoor experience and the bonus was feeding the beautiful horses at the ranch down the road - we all loved that - teens and parents! It is a super short drive to Bolton Landing - which has so many fun little shops and great places to eat - fresh hot donuts and cider was my favorite! Also not too far from Lake George Village for mini golf and pizza! The icing on the cake was how easy it was to communicate with Troy, the owner, incredibly kind person, helpful, thoughtful, and does everything he can to make your stay the best. We did not want to leave and we will definitely be back - enjoyed every minute with our family - thank you Troy for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Exceeded Expectations
Our stay at Troy's property exceeded our expectations. The property was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable for all of us. Despite 3 days of rain, there were plenty of games and activities to keep everyone happy. The golf cart was great for a trip to the dock to swim, to kayak, or to just sit and listen to the loons. Best family vacation!!
Troy was an awesome host, communication was great, the place was perfect, and we enjoyed every minute! Everything we needed was there. Toys, puzzles, books, campfire wood, a golf cart to go to the lake and the horse ranch. We fed the horses, kayaked, made s’mores, and had a wonderful time! Would definitely go back. Thank you Troy!

Away from the bustle, but still close to everything
The property was very clean upon arrival and even nicer than the pictures on the website. It has rustic appeal, but was just right for my group. My party of 12 fit comfortably in this house, inside and outside. All 8 kids had their own bed (and 2 couples shared beds). We used the fire pit almost every night and played on the Lake every day. The golf cart, kayaks, canoes, ping pong table, and foosball kept the teens very happy. The large dining table for 12, big kitchen, and nice appliances were a huge convenience for us. This house is close to both Bolton Landing and Lake George, so we didn't have to travel far to get to any of our excursions. Overall an excellent place to stay-thank you Troy for being so accessible to our group when we reached out to you.

Awesome vacation home!
Troy was amazing to communicate with, from my pre-trip questions, accurate direction, to checking in and out. The house was clean and well stocked with everything anyone would need! Only had to bring food. The listing was accurate and had plenty of amenities. The lake was great, my grandson loved racing their remote control boat. Troy recommended for me to bring carrots for the horses across the street. Everyone enjoyed feeding and visiting the horse. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Best house near Lake George
We stayed here with another family as our final trip to end the summer. The location was perfect, across the street from lake Sherman, which for us was ideal as we didn't have to worry about the little ones falling in etc. The kids LOVED the golf cart ride down to feed the horses and to the lake, that was half the fun for them. We relaxed by the fire-pit nightly with tons of firewood to spare. As a mom I have to add that the double ovens and double dishwashers was a added bonus, made life so easy. The Lake was fully equipped with canoes, kayaks, tubes and life jackets. The kids loved the downstairs of the house, it was their own sanctuary with wii, ping pong, foosball, tv, games and more. This trip was exactly what we needed. The house is beautiful, clean, tons of beds and decorated in perfect “lakehouse” charm. The owner Troy was a pleasure to deal with, always responded to messages/texts and was very helpful with planning our stay. We will absolutely be back...Thank you Troy!

Family vacation during COVID-19
The Boat House on Sherman Lake was everything promised and more. The location is very private, just off Route 87 and five miles off the main road via a mostly unpaved but well maintained road. The setting is beautiful, quiet and surrounded by large trees with a nice lake view. Quite close to Bolton Landing and Lake George but away from crowds and bustle. Easy to enjoy ourselves while maintaining social distancing and keeping safe. The house is beautiful, immaculately maintained and very clean. Lots of options for sleeping arrangements. Enormous very well equipped kitchen. Huge great room, dining table easily accommodated our 12 family members. Lake Access was a great plus, used every day for kayaking and swimming. The owner was always available to answer our questions but never intrusive. Loved the visit, would not hesitate to rent again.

Troy was an exceptional host. He was accessible, informative and accommodating. The house was amazing and exceeded all expectations. It was HUGE but still cozy. No detail was left undone from the authentic decor to the kitchen utensils this house was the perfect Adirondack getaway. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the stunning beauty of the lake and the tranquility of Sherman Road. Some added bonuses included the golf cart (which was a highlight for the kids), the horse ranch filled with eager horses readily accepting of your carrots and apples, plenty of dried wood for the fire pit and I caught a TON of fish off the private dock. Troy, thank you for a truly memorable, COVID safe and much needed Adirondack vacation. I will be in touch for next year.

Great Birthday for Dad!
We booked a week stay here for my dad's 60th birthday and it was one of the best weeks ever! The house is gorgeous with plenty to do for everyone of all ages. The lake is just a skip away from the house and with all the lake activities you'll have a blast! Troy was great to communicate with and always made sure that the house was everything we expected. 10/10 will come back!
