“We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. “This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night.”

“This was an ex hotel/pub which provides entry via a code system which requires you to be able to messsge etc beforehand. When finally you do get in you're presented with a mothballed bar and then have to find your way from there. Breakfast, which I avoided, was a selection of biscuits and chocolate bars on a tiny tray. I won't be back. If you're okay with this sort of approach you might be okay with it, but it could never be called good. Look around, there's other, better places out……
