“Lough Eske Hotel was beautiful, our rooms were large, well equipped, clean and welcoming. The grounds were beautifully kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with lovely service. We would highly recommend staying here. We would love to return for a longer stay so that we can make use of all this property has to offer.”
“The outside is very well maintained and beautiful. Loved the ease of checking in and how you could just use a simple key fob. The suite was clean and had a lot of nice little touches throughout! We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room area as well. The only issue we had was with the shower. The water didn’t seem to stay hot long enough for two people to take showers and it got the floor wet more than expected.”

“Centrally situated for Donegal town and good parking at hotel. Room in need of a total revamp, huge room but tiny cabinets. Tv is out of date and not up to standard. Bathroom is badly planned with no room to place any equipment. Shower is poor and bathroom has a bad damp smell.
A little attention to detail, updating and cleaning could bring this hotel to the standard expected.”
“The Villa Rose is a nice hotel and offers free parking and access to the facilities at its sister hotel just a short walk away. There are also great dining options and a very nice spa. Staff here were excellent and extremely polite! We unfortunately stayed during a hot spell and the hotel was not equipped to handle that issue entirely. One small fan was provided for a family size room and one morning we noted that the heat in the hallway was blazing! Another concern is the WiFi. It was……
“Very convenient central location, room was clean and the staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Town bus stop and taxi rank are almost immediately outside, so public transport is easy to access.”
“Depending on how much you pay, this is a good place to stay if looking for somewhere near Donegal Town with parking facility. As a guest house it mainly has classic decor/furniture style and although it feels homely, maintenance needs were evident. Security is relatively basic for a quiet location out of town, particularly room doors operated by key alone. Breakfast service is good as were the staff helpful and welcoming.”
