“Lots of character, authentic, old inn. Good parking on site at rear with nice garden to sit in. Nice ambiance overall. Staff competent. Evening meal - we had the hake - was excellent. Good breakfast. The double room we stayed in overlooked the main street. It was sufficiently quiet although it was smaller than we would have liked. Satisfactory for one or two nights stay, and at the price point very acceptable. Would not rule out staying again if in the area.”

“Really enjoyed our night here for our anniversary. Room was bright, airy and clean and the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. One thing we did notice is that it does require some maintenance on the outside. Our room was on the 1st floor, with a small balcony. Although the weather was fine, we were unable to sit out there as there was too much sitting rainwater, and from looking on the ground up, the balcony edges were worn and looking tired/ messy.
