“Local hotels had no vacancy so I gave this place a try and boy was I happily surprised! We stayed in the cottage which was quiet, cool, delightful, and spacious. The owner and manager were very kind and hospitable. The English Merchant's Inn is within walking distance to the central city where we enjoyed great breakfasts, long walks around the shops, and a shady return path along the hiking/biking trail to the Waxahachie historic cemetery. I highly recommend that you skip the cookie-cutter……

“This was my first time staying at a self-service hotel and I must say it was pretty sufficient and nice. The process was easy and straightforward, communication was detailed and prompt. The only thing I was not a fan of was that this booking was advertised as a bed and breakfast and it is not, but I think that is more of a Vrbo mistake than the host. Would stay again and recommend!”
