Love to vacation in the heart of a place? Then you've found "home" (at least for a little while) at Carmel by the Sea, a lovingly updated, 3-bedroom, 2-bath vacation rental in the center of Manzanita’s quaint downtown, just steps from Laneda Avenue and the wide sandy Manzanita beach.

Search for one-of-a-kind pieces in Laneda Avenue's distinctive boutiques and for artistic inspiration in its vibrant art galleries. Then sit down to a feast at a sublime farm-to-table restaurant or find bliss at a day spa. All of this Manzanita charm is just a short stroll away!

Carmel by the Sea comprises the entire top floor of a two-story building. And this loft-style space definitely makes the most of its elevated perspective: a generously sized balcony features a lovely view of Laneda Ave. and the ocean.

Back inside, a luminous living area features contemporary coastal decor and nap-worthy furniture. With its open floor plan, Carmel by the Sea makes it a breeze for your group to spend time together, cooking, snacking, watching the game on a cable-equipped flat-screen, or settling in for a wonderful meal and even better company at a dining table with a gorgeous view of Neahkahnie Mountain.

A fully equipped kitchen offers the inspiration to try a new recipe, plus all the cooking utensils and dishes you need to create culinary magic. Or go for a vacation classic: burgers from the BBQ grill on the private second balcony, which is accessed from the living area.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The home has three bedrooms—including two master bedrooms!—and comfortably sleeps six guests.

The master suite features a king-size bed wrapped in fine linens, an en-suite bathroom, and double closets. Find another king-size bed in the second master bedroom, this one with a cloud-like pillow-top mattress. This bedroom is a guest favorite with its flat-screen TV and small writing desk (free Wifi lets you use the space to catch up on emails, too).

Both king bedrooms access that spectacular, ocean-view balcony through sliding glass doors.

A third bedroom is situated at the other end of the suite, and features a queen bed. A second full bath serves these two bedrooms as well as the main living area.

After an unforgettable day of exploring Manzanita and the Oregon coast, we recommend pouring a glass of wine and heading to the balcony to catch a watercolor sunset on the ocean.
