"We stayed over a long weekend. Absolutely loved the location and the cottage. It was wonderful to bring our dog with us on a vacation for the first time - he loved it, too! We heard owls and coyotes; saw blue herons, bunnies, and small birds; and enjoyed sitting on the patio in the shadow of the hemlock, cedar, maple, madrone, and Douglas-fir trees. (The view from the bathroom at sunset is incredible, too!) The cottage was thoughtfully appointed for guests and we appreciated the extra touches...

"This place was incredible! From the deck you could see Swan Lake, the Olympics, the Salish Sea, Canada, and the San Juan Islands. There were tons of Eagles and Herons all over the place. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I recommend it for ANYONE!"

"My week vacation at Bay Cottage was wonderful and relaxing. Ed was a great host, giving me so much helpful information about the room, property and Port Townsend. I was welcomed with fresh cut flowers and a plate of fresh berries with homemade chocolate chip walnut cookies. Enjoyed the cottage’s nice private deck to sit on as well as the community patio overlooking the beach and water. Many, many thanks!"

"We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay while on the island. I’m a frequent visitor to Whidbey, but usually stay with family. I wanted something close to them and this listing fit the bill. I’ve never stayed in such a well-appointed place. The house is modern, clean, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. They thought of everything. The owner was responsive to one small issue about the Wi-Fi, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Green Door house."

"This is the vacation home you wish you had. Great location, extremely well appointed, cute, comfortable, quiet, I could go on. We had a lovely stay- from when you walk in the door you're on vacation. Beach-theme decor is coordinated throughout the house. Comfortable furniture and mattresses, plenty of linens, and a cozy gas fireplace for movie nights. "The location and home was great. Saw deer and herons on the property. No mosquitoey was fantastic. Only thing that was a concern was some of the carpets were stained or dirty. I took pictures in case I was going to be charged but not too concerned. If you have a chance it is a nice be place to stay. Thank you"
