"This jungle dream is the perfect hideaway. It has all the wildlife you want on the doorstep. Be aware that you need a car as it is situated on a VERY steep single lane road up from the coast. It's about a 10 minute drive to the beach or to town. You will need a 4x4 SUV that the very gracious concierge arranges for you. Currently there is some construction taking place up the hill from the house and there are very noisy trucks climbing up and down throughout the day. Se got use to this, but it will be much nicer then the construction is completed."

"Amazing home nestled atop a mountain. Beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from all rooms! Definitely want a 4 wheel drive vehicle to make it up the steep drive but it's worth it. Close to restaurants in dominical and many attractions are within a 30 min - 45 min drive from the home."

"Ron and Giselle were amazing hosts for our wonderful stay at Slice of Paradise. We were entranced by literally hundreds of butterflies as we strolled the 100 meters to the amazing beach; where we could choose to sit in the sun or under the shade of the palms, as we enjoyed the ocean breeze, ocean surf, and amazing sunsets. Ron and Gazelle were very responsive to our needs and requests. They were particularly helpful in sharing local knowledge regarding the excellent area excursions available to enhance our enjoyment of the Costa Rican Pura Vida hospitality. "Absolutely loved this property! We only used the main house, not the extra cabina, but the pool, the house, and the rooms were all lovely. Just as in the pictures. There is nothing better than looking at the sunset from the pool and eating out on the deck. LOVED the wood work too. Well decorated and comfortable. The loft had two beds, other two rooms had one bed each. Comfortable beds. Very clean and well kept. Loved the outdoor feel of the bathrooms. Kitchen is well stocked for utensils, dishes and a lovely amount of spices so you don't have to buy those things you only use a few times. Concierge and manager were fantastic when small issues or questions arose. Instant support and over the top kindness. One thing to look out for if travelling from Canada... get in contact with them over What's App before you go. Your phone may not work once you get there unless on wifi. We bought an international card that did not work. We had to find wifi to get ahold of anyone. "

"We spent 2 nights at Lapazul and wish we had spent a couple more! This hotel is a unique paradise, offering incredibly stunning views, excellent service, and delectable food- truly one of a kind. Nestled on top of a hill, it’s a relatively new boutique hotel with fewer than a dozen rooms and 2 infinity pools. The hotel is conveniently located near beautiful beaches, Manuel Antonio Park, and the charming town of Dominical. Accessing the hotel requires a 4x4 or AWD due to the mountainous terrain, but the journey is absolutely worthwhile.  It’s the staff at Lapazul that take your experience to the next level. Adriana had an infectious smile and showed us around the property. She also looked into a horse riding tour for us, but we didn’t end up taking one because we wanted to spend more time on the beautiful property. George and Giovanni took great care of us when it came to food and drinks. George made sure we had a packed breakfast ready to go for an early morning excursion. Gio made excellent cocktails and wine recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them that allowed us to learn more about the property and the local Costa Rican culture.  We will be promoting this unique property within our friend circle and will be back! "

"We had a great family vacation. My only complaint would be they were building a new home right next to the house we stayed in and so it was very loud noises even early in the morning. We still had a great time though."
