“Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible.”

“Very clean! Quiet location. Careful on steps & railing bit shaky We brought our own charcoal grill but it does have nice gas bbq Bring chairs for around fire pit. Love the huge porch!”

“We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The kids were able to go right down to the trout stream and fish. We were in the hot tub every night! We really appreciated the large living room with a lot of seating for our family. The only negative was the yard had not been mowed in quite awhile and the beds were absolutely terrible! We would definitely recommend they upgrade the mattresses. The main bedroom felt like we were sleeping on a box spring.”

“We had a nice stay at Black Bear Cabin. Short distance to tourist attractions. Hot tub was enjoyed and the beds were comfortable. Some things that might help improve the stay for others would be: dish towels for easier kitchen clean up, ability to plug in deck lighting, hooks or shelving in rooms for towels and clothes, end tables in the queen bed rooms, and fresh batteries for basement remote. The kitchen had all the tools we needed for cooking. Great place for meditating and quality time. ”
