The Great Allegheny Passage trail cuts through this charming maple syrup capital, where cyclists stop to explore the Pennsylvania Maple Festival each spring. History buffs can visit the restored Western Maryland Railway Station while outdoor enthusiasts enjoy scenic hikes through nearby Mount Davis, the highest point in Pennsylvania.
If you want a simple boutique hotel in the center of town with no frills, this is the hotel for you. Staff are most helpful and location is wonderful. Rooms are very small so count on reading in the lobby if you are looking for a comfy chair.

Our son is at Frostburg State. The Allegheny Trail house will be our place to stay whenever we plan to visit our son. This place is unique and lovely to stay at. Friendly and attentive staff.

Dan and Robin are very thoughtful and caring hosts. The location was very close to falling waters. The place was extremely clean and we were allowed to cook in the kitchen.
The nearby town restaurants close early and you may want to take your own food for dinner. Breakfast is provided by the hosts.
Only negative is the sound of trains nearby.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was variable each day. Housekeeping happy to get what we needed. Cookies and popcorn in the afternoon, what could be better?

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. We came in by Amtrak on Friday and lft Sunday however we found out there is no transporation on Sunday. We called the front desk to ask if they knew of any way to get us back to Amtrak. Candi who works the front desk tried to find us trasportation however none was available. Candi after completeing her shift waited for us in the hotel lobby to let us know she would be taking us to Amtrak. We look forward to returning however we will pick another day other...

Probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in, and I usually stay in very expensive places. The shower was so clean I let my toddler take a bath in the tub (something I never allow). The pool was basic, but very clean. Complimentary breakfast in morning was excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. We will absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at the Spruce cabin and it was lovely. I wasn't sure what was all included at the cabin as far as amenities. We usually stay at State park cabins, so were pleasantly surprised to find so many things included. For example, dishes, silverware, towels, sheets, pillows......even soap, papertowels, toilet paper and aluminum foil! The beds were comfy and all the appliances worked fine. The campground was quiet. We walked around a lot and it was interesting to see some remnants of when...

It was great stay at Quality Inn. Clean quite room, easy to get in and out of parking areas, friendly customer service. Breakfast food quality can be improved. Overall, great place to stay.

Hotel was booked as part of a group outing. We had previously used this property and knew that this would be the right choice again. I was surprised yet pleased with the precautions taken due to COVID-19. Rooms are cleaned before arrival but not during the stay. But they made it easy to bag you towels each morning and have a new set waiting at your door when you return. Breakfast was limited as to not create any health risks but still adequate. Hotel staff was pleasant and great to work with.
